Dorothy Vivian Kirkpatrick

    LONE TREE ? Dorothy Vivian Kirkpatrick, 83, of Lone Tree, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.

    Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree with the Rev. Rick Crooks officiating.  Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with a 3:30 p.m. Eastern Star service.  Memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue.

    Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Severn, Md., the daughter of Woodside Emory and Dorothy M. (Taylor) Warfield.  She married John Lowry Kirkpatrick on Sept. 12, 1943, in Glen Burnie, Md.
