Douglas Cole

FAIRFIELD ? Douglas E. Cole, 67, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, in Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

No services are scheduled. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Noah?s Ark Animal Shelter, or to an animal shelter of the donor?s choice. The Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Cole was born Feb. 22, 1949, in Ottumwa, the son of Harley and Norma L. (Blaine) Cole.

He grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School, and attended the University of Northern Iowa. He had been a resident of Fairfield since 1995. He was a chef at the Kokomos restaurant and at the Raj.

Surviving are two sisters, Linda Cole of Fairfield, and Bobbi Cox of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one niece; one nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
