Dr. Donald R. Roller, age 84, of Brooklyn, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Manor House in Sigourney. A short prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn with Pastor Josh Gerard officiating. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Don is survived by his children, Dan (Karol) Roller, Kevin (Angie) Roller, Diana (Ed) Kline, and Tammy (Tony) Rockwell; his grandchildren, Mindy (Nathan) Venz, Haley (Pat) Ayers, Danielle (Devon) Savala, Brandon Roller, Marc (Jen) Kline, Devan (Anthony) Kline, Eddie (Taylor) Kline, Jack (Paige) Kline, Taryn (Zach) Stafford and Riley (Daniel) VanGilst; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Belle Roller and brother-in-law Ron (Jean) Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jan in 2009; siblings and their spouses, J.D. Roller, Peggy and Willis Davidson, Neva and Mack Stanphil. Clyde and Betty Roller, brother and sister-in-law Edwin and Virginia Koehn; and father and mother-in-law Dale and Phyllis Jones.

Donald Ray Roller was born May 11, 1939, in Larue, Arkansas, the son of Alva and Mary Ethel Cook Roller. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines at an early age. Don married Janice Jones on July 23, 1961, at the Millersburg Methodist Church. Many will remember Don for being the chiropractor in Brooklyn for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, reading, and horseback riding. Don liked to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes and loved his Westerns on TV.
