Dr. George H. Andrew
Dr. George H. Andrew, age 89, of Knoxville, died December 24, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 27 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knoxville. The family received friends Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. with Prayers for Christian Wake Service at 6:oo p.m. at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.
George Howell Andrew was born June 21, 1922 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Glenn B. and Neal Howell Andrew. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Iowa State University. He enlisted in the Army Air Force during World War II and served four years with the 12th Weather Squadron in Africa, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Yugoslavia.
