Dr. Robert Q. Eastland, O.D., passed away on February 28th at his home in Arcadia due to complications from cancer.
Bob's nearly 84-year journey through life could serve as a model for the simple, decent man's pursuit of the American Dream. He was born in Winthrop, Minnesota on March 9th, 1923, the eighth of nine children. When he was three the family moved to Spencer, Iowa, where the Eastlands lived until 1935. From there they moved to Cambridge, Illinois, where Bob graduated from Cambridge High School in 1941.
