Duaine Leon 'Mope' Cary

      Duaine Leon "Mope" Cary, 80, of Danville, formerly of West Burlington, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Great River Medical Center.

      A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Jackie Bradford officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will provide military rites.

      Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at the chapel, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

      Mr. Cary was born March 12, 1928, in Morning Sun, the son of Emmett Monroe and Betty Mae Dunbar Cary. He married Mildred Elizabeth Tedrow July 10, 1954, in Fairfield. She died Dec. 26, 2002.
