Duane Phillip Gibbs

      WASHINGTON - Duane Phillip Gibbs, 45, of Washington, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, in Washington, following a sudden illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, at First Christian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home from 1 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., and from 6:30 to 8 p.m., that evening. Interment will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Dyersville. A memorial fund has been established for the education of Mr. Gibbs' children.

      Mr. Gibbs was born on June 19, 1959, in Maquoketa to Lloyd and Rosella Mae (Kalmes) Gibbs. On June 6, 1981, he married Debbie McGraw in Cedar Falls.
