Dwight A. Woodsmall

Dwight Allen "Woody" Woodsmall, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at his home.

Visitation will begin after noon on Thursday, Dec. 4, with the family being present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elliot Chapel in New London. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery; New London with military rites presented by the Henry County Honor Guard.

A memorial has been established to the First Church of the Nazarene and the Mt. Pleasant Cal Ripkin Little League.

He was born July 3, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Wesley and Elsie Brownell Woodsmall. On Nov. 14, 1948, he married Violet Dickey in Edina, Mo.
