Dwight L. 'Butch' Cornick
Dwight L. "Butch" Cornick, 85, of rural Morning Sun, died Thursday morning, Aug. 16, at Great River Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Winfield with the Rev. Sue Cubbage officiating. Interment will follow at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield.
A memorial has been established for the Great River Hospice and Mt. Union Methodist Church.
The son of Pearl and Emma (Bolon) Cornick, Dwight was born Oct. 4, 1921 in Marsh. On Jan. 5, 1942 he married Lorna Carlson. He was a graduate of Mt. Union High School class of 1939.
