Elsie Lucille Farr, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Jan. 28, at Pleasant Manor Care Center.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday, Feb. 1, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Salem Congregational Church, the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

She was born May 9, 1915, near Wayland, the daughter of Arch and Effie Smith Ross. On Aug. 5, 1939, she married Malcolm D. Farr in Davenport.
A graduate of Crawfordsville High School, she was a member of the Salem Methodist Church and attended the Open Bible Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was a homemaker and worked at Hope Haven as a teacher aide for 10 years. She was also a member of the Salem Kitchen Band.
She is survived by one son, Jim Farr and his wife Pam of Burlington; one daughter, Connie Weatherman and her husband Tom of Salem; two sisters, Hope Hoyt and Virginia Boyd and her husband J.C., all of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband and brothers Hoyt, Guy, Ray and Emmett Ross preceded her in death.
