Earl Yoder

      IOWA CITY - Earl Yoder, 79, of Iowa City died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 in his home from ALS.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 in East Union Mennonite Church, rural Kalona, with the Rev. Jay Miller officiating. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery, Kalona. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday where the family will be present in the East Union Church. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice, East Union Mennonite Church or Iowa Mennonite School. Peterseim Funeral Service, Kalona, is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. Yoder was born Oct. 11, 1927 near Weatherford, the son of Mose W. and Barbara (Bender) Yoder. He married Edna M. Bontrager on Aug. 10, 1952 in East Union Mennonite Church.
