Eathel Octavia Palmer
Eathel Octavia Palmer, 91, formerly of Lancaster, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Mo.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m. today at Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Mo., with Pastor Sonny Smyser of Lancaster United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Coffey Cemetery south of Downing, Mo.
Mrs. Palmer was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Coatsville, Mo., the daughter of Everett Liberty and Samantha Alice Gates Lasley. She married Curtis Leo Palmer in Ottumwa, Dec. 22, 1930. He preceded her in death. She loved to travel, liked gardening and did various types of needlework.
Survivors include three daughters, Wilma Cain of Danville, Mary Parker of Burlington and Kay Palmer of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and a sister, Lucille Manning of Burlington.
