Eddy M. Delabar

Eddy M. Delabar, 66, of Alexis, Ill., formerly of Oquawka, Ill., died at 4:53 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, at St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Ill.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Alexis, with the Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Alexis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the chapel with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Delabar of Des Moines; two daughters, Casey Delabar of Galesburg, and Lea Delabar of Alexis; five grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Pruett of Mt. Pleasant; and a brother, James W. Delabar of Freeport, Ind.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.
