Edgar Larue Stearns
Edgar Larue Stearns, 74, of New London, died at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center following an extended illness.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at the Forest Home Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Miller, pastor of the New London United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14 at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Veteran's Administration Hospital.
