Edith E. Nickerson

Edith E. Nickerson, 97, of Washington, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Fred Bickhart officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Advent Christian Church and the Hospice of Washington County.

      Mrs. Nickerson was born March 22, 1911 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Benjamin E. and Laura (Currier) Drew. She married Bernard E. Nickerson on Sept. 11, 1937 in Somerville, Mass.
