Edward Capps

Edward Lorado Capps, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dave Edward and his wife Gwen Capps of Mt. Pleasant, Victor Lee Capps of Newton, and Charles Earnest and his wife Rena Capps of Monroe, La.; two daughters, Linda Jo and her husband Dennis Robertson of Chandler, Ariz., and Patricia Ann Capps-Campbell of Chicago; and four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Victor Lee Capps and a sister, Dorothy Marie Lowe.
