Edward Charlies Bodkin, 51, of Washington, formerly of Tipton, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Washington County Hospital.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Sutton Cemetery in Fulton, IA. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home in Washington, IA. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M.

Edward was born May 11, 1972, the son of Jerold and Alberta Bodkin. He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1991.

He worked at the Tipton Family Restaurant, was employed at a feed store, and delivered papers in Oxford Junction, he also did mowing and snow removal. He enjoyed playing pool, camping, riding his bike, visiting friends and family, drinking beer, and making people laugh.

Survivors include brother, Jake (Angie) Bodkin Sr. of Washington, IA; sister, Michele Manning of Maquoketa, IA; three nephews and four nieces; two great-nephews and three great-nieces; and a special cat Simba.

Preceding him in death was his parents; brother, Albert Lee; infant stillborn brother, David Lee; brother-in-law, Ron Manning; and nephew, Jakers Bodkin.

In lieu of flowers, a general memorial has been established in his name.
