Edward F. Long

Edward F. "Bud" Long, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Salem, died Friday, May 9, at Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.

He has donated his body to the Carver College of Medicine for medical research. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant, with family present. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the church, with the Revs. Monte Knudsen and Tom Roberts officiating.

He was born Dec. 31, 1919, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Ellis and Ruth Bruhn Long. On April 7, 1945, he married Marilyn Wandling in Mt. Pleasant.
