Edward 'Fritz' Frederick Alter
Edward "Fritz" Frederick Alter, 84, of Burlington, died at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2002, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 31, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, at the funeral home with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post #10102 and 9162, American Legion Post #52, and the Marine Corps League. Memorials may be made to Zion United Church of Christ.
