Edward J. Callaway

      Edward J. Callaway, 78, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

      A funeral is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Bob David officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial chapel, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

      Memorials have been established to the Mount Pleasant Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2561, American Legion Post No. 58 and Midwest Old Threshers.

       Mr. Callaway was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Alonzo B. and Nelda B. Luzadder Callaway. He married Roberta Scarff Aug. 17, 1955, in Milan, Ill.
