Edward Joseph Kucera

      LONE TREE - Edward Joseph Kucera, 88, of Riverside, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Iowa City Rehabilitation, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery in Lone Tree. Visitation will be at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service. A memorial has been established for Iowa City Hospice.

      Mr. Kucera was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Washington County to James and Anna (Florang) Kucera. He married Lucille Lavern Aubrecht on Nov. 28, 1940, in Lone Tree. She preceded him in death in 2005.
