Edward L. 'Ed' Nardy

      Edward L. "Ed" Nardy, 83, of Washington, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at his home, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2005, at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, with military honors accorded. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8, Thursday evening. Prayer services will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County and St. James Catholic Church.

      Mr. Nardy was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Washington, to Leo and Antonette (Bernacchi) Nardy. On Sept. 28, 1947, he married Martha Frances Weeks in Washington.
