Edwin A. Gerleman

Edwin A. Gerleman, 77, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Lockridge, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

      A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant, the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be in Saint Alphonsus Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with family present from 5:30-7 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

      Memorials may be made to the Lockridge First Responders, Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church or Hospice of Central Iowa.

      Mr. Gerleman was born June 25, 1928, in Ossian, the son of Leo and Lorraine Zweibohmer Gerleman. He married Darlene Stevens Oct. 15, 1949, in Cresco.
