Edwin A. Gerleman

Edwin A. Gerleman, 77, of Mt. Pleasant and former resident of the Lockridge community died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, Father Nick Adam will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday with the family present from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lockridge First Responders, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church or to the Hospice of Central Iowa.

      Mr. Gerleman was born on June 25, 1928 in Ossian, the son of Leo and Lorraine Zweibohmer Gerleman. He married Darlene Stevens on October 15, 1949, in Cresco.
