Eldon W. Swartzendruber
KALONA-Eldon W. Swartzendruber, 89, of Kalona, died Friday, July 27, 2007, following a lingering illness, at Lone Tree Care Center in Lone Tree.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with the Rev. Rebecca Carver officiating. Burial will be in Frytown Cemetery in Frytown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Lone Tree Care Center.
Mr. Swartzendruber was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Kalona, to Christian and Naomi (Yoder) Swartzendruber. He married Agnes Shetler on Aug. 18, 1944, in Pigeon, Mich. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2001.
