Eleanor A. Hoel March 23, 1910 - January 3, 2004

Eleanor Anna Hoel, 93, of New London, died on Jan. 3, 2004, at New London Nursing and Rehab Center in New London.

      The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, in Burge Cemetery in New London, with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Visitation will begin after noon on Thursday, Jan. 8 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the New London Nursing and Rehab Activity Fund.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy and her husband Wendell Linder of West Burlington, and Doris Price of Albuquerque, N.M.; a son, Bill and his wife Linda Hoel of Chandler, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and three great-granddaughters; and a sister, Wyberta Walney of Mt. Pleasant.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son; two infant grandsons; a great-granddaughter, four brothers and a sister.
