Eleanor Cecilia Marie

      Eleanor Cecilia Marie, 88, of Washington, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Washington County Hospital.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O' Melia officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A rosary with Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be said at 4 p.m., and a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County.

      Mrs. Marie was born on July 14, 1915, in Harper, to Jacob and Paulena (Heuberger) Schmitt. On Sept. 28, 1943, she married William J. Marie Jr. in Harper.
