Eleanor E. Lord

      Eleanor E. Lord, 84, of Washington, formerly of Ainsworth, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Washington County Hospital, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2005, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Interment will follow in Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Sunday, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., that evening. Memorials have been established for United Presbyterian Church in Washington and Ainsworth Community Church.

      Mrs. Lord was born March 19, 1920, in West Chester County, N.Y., to Charles G. and Anna Christine (Beckman) Hunter. On Aug. 21, 1943, she married Bryce Lord in Houston, Texas.
