Elfrieda Yossi Behrends
MONTICELLO-Elfrieda Yossi Behrends, 84, of Monticello, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at the Anamosa Care Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 21, at Peace United Church of Christ in Monticello. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery. Goettsch Funeral Home of Monticello, handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Behrends was born June 5, 1922, in Jones County to Alfred and Emma (Egger) Yossi. She married Elwill "Cowboy" Behrends on April 17, 1941, in Monticello. He preceded her in death in 1973.
