Eli C. Helmuth

      KALONA - Eli C. Helmuth, 85 of Kalona, and of Whiteville, Tenn., died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at his home.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Sharon Bethel Church in Kalona. Burial will be in the Whiteville Church Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 18. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sharon Bethel Church. Memorials may be sent to the Whiteville Mennonite Church. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of services and arrangements.

      Mr. Helmuth was born June 17, 1923, in Kalona, the son of Chris and Mary (Miller) Helmuth. He married Fannie Miller on June 21, 1945. She preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2005. He married Sarah (Mast) Miller on Sept. 23, 2007.
