FAIRFIELD ? Elizabeth Ann West, 78, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, in the University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Foster Care Program. Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. West was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Fairfield, the daughter of Ralph C. and Edith (Hendricks) Schillerstrom. She married Floyd West on Sept. 17, 1954, at Pleasant Plain.
She graduated from Fairfield High School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. She was a personal care provider for older people in their homes. She had worked at Universal Producing Company, and the Fairfield Glove Company. She and her husband were foster parents to several children through the years. They had lived in West Palm Beach, Florida; Loveland and Boulder, Colorado; Mount Pleasant and Fairfield, Iowa.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Kathy Cubbage and husband Harold of Libertyville, and Melanie Dill and husband Mark of Dubuque; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jarvis and husband Oren of Washington; one brother, Roy Schillerstrom of Washington; and three half sisters, Jeanie Meinder and husband Bob of Ottumwa, Jolene Elmore and husband Dennis of Lantana, Texas, and Joni Rollinger and husband Joel of Decorah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Schillerstrom.
