Elizabeth Ann Miller was born May 20, 1938, in Keokuk County, Iowa, the daughter of Doyle and Fern (Shultz) Hutton. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1955. Liz was united in marriage to George Miller on October 17, 1959. She worked as a secretary at Amana Refrigeration for 20 years and then the University of Iowa Student Union for 10 years. Liz lived around the Williamsburg Community before she and George moved to Texas for 27 years and then moved back to Williamsburg in 2023. Liz enjoyed attending Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees hockey games in Texas and followed the Iowa Hawkeyes and the San Antonio Spurs. She also enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends and family, entertaining little kids and shopping trips. Liz had a knack for decorating and especially for the Holidays. Elizabeth died Monday, August 26, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in Iowa City at the age of 86 years.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years; sister, Jennie Morgan of Sigourney, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leon Hutton, sisters-in-law Lorene and Hettie Hutton and brother-in-law Robert Morgan.

Celebration of Life Service was 10:30 am Friday, September 6, 2024, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation was Friday from 9:30 am until service time. Burial is in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Martinsburg, Iowa. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association. Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg is caring for Elizabeth and her family.
