Elizabeth K. Burk January 14, 1917 - January 18, 2004

Elizabeth K. Burk, 87, of Danville, formerly of Oquawka, Ill., died at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Danville Care Center.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, with the Rev. Suzanne Geer officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be on Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21. A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church in Danville.

Survivors include two sons, Clayton Gohn of Burlington, and Mervin Gohn of Oquawka; three stepsons, Irvin "Buck" Burk of Winchester, Ill., Robert Burk of Kirkwood, Ill., and Coy Burk of Ramona, S.D.; two stepdaughters, Beverly Sites of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Connie Barry of Madison, S.D.; 76 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a stepson, a stepdaughter, a brother and two grandsons.
