Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Kempf
WELLMAN-Elizabeth "Lizzy" Kempf, 95, of Wellman, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 7, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wellman, with the Rev. Rich Pippert officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Parkview Manor Chaplaincy Program.
Mrs. Kempf was born on July 1, 1908, to Lewis and Laura (Baker) Groff. On Feb. 22, 1931, she married Harvey S. Kempf in rural Wellman.
