Ella Frier

      Ella Frier, 99, of Washington, died Wednesday, May 23, at Halcyon House in Washington, following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Robbins and the Rev. Eric Strattan officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck. Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made for the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund or Hospice.

      Mrs. Frier was born on Jan. 12, 1908, at Gladbrook to Wilhelm and Christine (Thiesen) Stricker. She married Carl Frier on Jan. 29, 1929, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1966.
