Ella Vee Buchanan

Ella Vee Buchanan, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Middletown, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 in Burge Cemetery in New London, with Pastor Brian Swafford officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Elliot Chapel in New London. There will be no family visitation.

      Miss Buchanan was born June 10, 1921, in Hot Springs, Ark., the daughter of Jay and Alice Ruth Buchanan. She was of the Protestant faith. She lived most of her life at various care facilities and enjoyed all activities that were offered. She loved playing bingo, music, stuffed animals, the holidays, greeting visitors at Arbor Court Care Center, children, making arts and crafts and shopping.

      She was preceded in death by her parents.
