Ellavene Longwell
WELLMAN - Ellavene Longwell was born November 23, 1913 in Keswick, Iowa the daughter of John and Susie (Healey) O'Brien. She graduated from Keswick High School in 1932. On November 10, 1936 she was united in marriage to A.G. "Ham" Longwell at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. Ellavene has lived on the same farm since 1936 where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, and "Grandview Get Together". She enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. Ellavene died on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness at the age of 92 years.
