Ellen Charlotte Hannum

Ellen Charlotte Hannum, 95, of Wapello, died Friday afternoon, March 4, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, with the Rev. Harlan Winter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be from noon to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present form 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A luncheon for the family and friends will be at the United Methodist Church fellowship hall on Tuesday, March 8 at noon. A memorial has been established to the Louisa County Home Caring Services, Wapello Rescue Unit and Great River Hospice.

Survivors include four daughters, Donna R. Pile of Washington, Mary Ellen Walgren of Wapello, Eloise Frost of Merlin, Ore. and Sharon Bonser of Agency; and 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and a great-grandson.
