Ellen L. Reber

      KALONA-Ellen L. Reber, 88, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Pleasantview Home, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, with a rosary said at 7:30 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or the Kalona Historical Society.

      Mrs. Reber was born on Sept. 14, 1916, in Avoca, Minn., to Nicholas and Charlotte (Vandament) Bohr. She married Lester Reber on July 26, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo.
