Elmer C. Miller

      KALONA - Elmer C. Miller, 97, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona after a lingering illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Fairview Conservative Mennonite Church with the Rev. John Hershberger and the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the service time Thursday in the church, where the family will be present from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday morning. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in rural Kalona. Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. Miller was born March 5, 1910, the son of Harry D. and Lizzie C. (Schlabaugh) Miller. He married Verna Boley on June 28, 1931.
