Elmer L. Schrock

    MOUNT PLEASANT ? Elmer L. Schrock, 88, of Maquoketa, formerly of Wayland, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, in the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with the Rev. Nathan Luitjens and the Rev. Bob Hartzler officiating.  Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Sugar Creek Cemetery.  Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant is handling the arrangements.

    Mr. Schrock was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Shelbyville, Ill., the son of Danie and Anna (Roth) Schrock.  He married Josephine K. Richard on March 23, 1954, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland.
