Elvert O. Teeter

      Elvert O. Teeter Jr., 81, of Bonaparte, died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

      A service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

      Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials to Great River Hospice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 30011 250th St., Bonaparte 52620.

      Mr. Teeter was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Fairfield, the son of Elvert O. and Opal Roberts Teeter. He married Barbara A. Baily Feb. 23, 1947, in Mediapolis. She died Oct. 22, 2005.
