Emery E. McGuire

Emery E. McGuire, 77, of Wayland, died following declining health Monday evening, Feb. 14, 2005, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at Cottonwood United Methodist Church, west of Wayland, with the Rev. Nancy Renfro officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, with family present form 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to Cottonwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Douglas McGuire of Wayland; a daughter, Brenda Holley of Burlington; four grandchildren; two brothers, Harry McGuire of Olds, and Myron McGuire of Mt. Pleasant; and a sister, Meriel Benge of Washington.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
