Emile M. Englehart

Emile Marcilliat Englehart, 87, of Salem, died May 1, 2006 at Henry County Health Center.

      The funeral service will take place Thursday, May 4 at 1 p.m. at Elliott Chapel, with Pastors Steve Prickett and Hank Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery, with military rites presented by the Henry County Honor Guard.

      Visitation will be at Elliott Chapel beginning at noon, Wednesday, May 3, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

      A memorial has been established for Pleasant Point Church, Salem Rescue, and Salem Congregate Meals.

      Born Oct. 25, 1918, in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of George and Addie Marcilliat Englehart. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On Feb. 2, 1942 he married Mary Martha Williams in Kahoka, Mo. She died on Oct. 16, 1976. He married Marie Wilmeth on Nov. 5, 1977 in New London. She died Dec. 23, 1997.
