Emma L. Manning
WAYLAND-Emma L. Manning, 96, of Wayland, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Parkview Home in Wayland, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services have been set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, at Cottonwood United Methodist New Life Parish Church west of Wayland, with the Rev. Nancy Renfro officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation began this morning at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, where family will be present from 6 to 8 this evening. Memorials may be directed to Parkview Home or Cottonwood Church.
Mrs. Manning was born on Oct. 6, 1907, in Jefferson County, to William and Della (Huffman) Smith. She married Franklin Roy Manning on April 18, 1924.
