Emma L. Manning October 6, 1907 - May 7, 2004

Emma L. Manning, 96, of Wayland, died on Friday, May 7, 2004, at the Parkview Home in Wayland, following declining health.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11 at the Cottonwood United Methodist New Life Parish Church west of Wayland with Pastor Nancy Renfro officiating. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation began today at 9 a.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Parkview Home or to Cottonwood Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lyle and Judy Manning of Wayland, and Everett Eugene and his wife Carol Manning of Laguina Niguel, Calif.; three daughters, Opal Wiggins of Trenton, Delores and her husband Dwain Sinn and Carol Payne, all of Muscatine; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters, nine brothers and sisters and a granddaughter.
