Emma Menchaca Salazar

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Emma Menchaca Salazar, 76, of Columbus City, died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at her home in Columbus City.

      A celebration of life service will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Stacy Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. James Cluney and the Rev. Mike McAfee officiating. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Following services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Columbus Junction American Legion. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for First Assembly of God in Washington.

      Mrs. Salazar was born on March 28, 1929, in Cd Acuna, Mexico, to Pedro and Lusiana (Olgin) Menchaca. She married Tomas Salazar in Cd Acuna, Mexico, on May 6, 1947.
