Emma V. Hostetler

      KALONA-Emma V. Hostetler, 77, of Kalona, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, at Fairview Conservative Mennonite Church in rural Kalona, with the Rev. John Hershberger, the Rev. Perry Miller, and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, at the church, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. A general memorial fund has been established. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home of Kalona is in charge of arrangements.

      Mrs. Hostetler was born on June 6, 1927, near Kalona, to Peter and Barbara (Miller) Helmuth. On Oct. 8, 1950, she married Leslie D. Hostetler in rural Kalona.
