Erma R. Massey

      Erma R. Massey, 75, of Donnellson, died at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, in the McDonough District Hospital emergency room in Macomb, Ill.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point.

      Open visitation began at 1 p.m. today at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in West Point, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m., a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a wake service will be at 7 p.m.

      Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church renovation fund.

      Mrs. Massey was born Aug. 21, 1932, in St. Paul, the daughter of Rudolph and Elizabeth Umthun Hellweg. She married Harold "Skeet" Massey Feb. 27, 1954, in St. Paul, Iowa. He preceded her in death.
