Erma V. Troyer

      KALONA - Erma V. Troyer, 88, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman with the Rev. Marvin Hostetler officiating. Burial will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Pleasantview Home and the Kalona First Responders.

      Mrs. Troyer was born Dec. 27, 1918, in Wood River, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Stoltzfus) Stutzman. She married Lloyd J. Troyer on May 18, 1941, in the Wellman Mennonite Church.
